With the active participation of Gavin King, Cueball MacKenzie today began the "end game" in the Entertainment Precinct derailment programme. Callers were solicited to voice what were clearly defamatory and brutal personal attacks against both council staff (Linda Cardew), the project manager and an unnamed Quantity Surveyor company.
Several CHICKEN LITTLE callers, greased by the MacKenzie opening "pack of lies" and spurred on by the 60 IQ comments of Gavin King, claimed that "huge cost blowouts" had occurred in a theater project in Willoughby, NSW and that both of the incompetent culprits were now working on the Cairns Entertainment Precinct. They then screeched "the sky is falling" and flew off into the sunset.
The assertion being that the Cairns project would be "hundreds of millions" (or billions, I think one said) over budget!
This kind of attack goes way beyond a thoughtful and reasoned community discussion, although typical of the MacKenzie attack agenda. Note that neither MacKenzie nor King have ever attended one public outreach session on the project. NOT ONE. Everything they think they know they've gotten, unvetted, from their hillbilly constituency, or scraped off the bottom of their shoes. Between them there aren't two real facts to rub together. Not that either care much about the facts.
The organised attack on the competence of these individuals should result in lawsuits against the perpetrators. No one likes their good name and reputation slandered, without facts. If we said that John MacKenzie traveled often to Vietnam and Thailand to abuse little boys, we'd be out of line since there don't seem to be any facts to support this suggestion. Sadly, Ms. Cardew and the "unnamed" Quantity Surveyor have been seriously defamed with no attempt to even discern the real facts. It's criminal. Just like the thing with little boys.
You'd think that Gavin King could get some of his fellow Murdoch-employed mates to tap some phones or hack some computers to find out the truth. We all know now that this is the sewer where News Ltd. employees toil. No wonder King has become an "editor" in such short time!
In fact, the Willoughby council website shows quite clearly that when Cardew left with one year to run on the three year construction contract, this project had a variation of about 1% on a $143 million budget - and most of this was "change orders" from council. This isn't just good, it's stupendously good and we should be grateful to have found such a skilled project manager.
We will of course listen with interest when Mayor of Vice Margaret Cochrane does her Friday morning bit on 4CA. Will she stand on the side of facts and chastise MacKenzie for being well and truly out of line? I vote she gives him her usual blow job and lets another council employee swing undefended in the wind.
The day was capped with another lame musical attack on the mayor and council by Karin "Pearl" Pollard from Wangetti. She has again demonstrated what happens when you can't finish the Sixth Grade. My vote is every one of these fuckers in Wangetti have their rates quintupled just to pay for ballet recitals at the new Entertainment Centre.
