100 Entertainment Precinct supporters showed up on-site today, in pouring rain, to voice disgust at the attacks on this project. The Thomas answer is no different than that of Cochran or Manning-Byrne: "we'll put it somewhere else despite these alternatives being rejected as unworkable or unavailable". We'd call this intellectually dishonest except it would be ascribing actual intellect to a position that defies intellect, logic, or common sense.
Back to Ian Thomas. He claimed that he's gotten "60 or 70 emails from people who say council has blocked their establishment of business". In particular, he made one specially egregious claim - he said one business that changed owners "four years ago" had been blocked from operation by the Cairns Regional Council despite continual actions of the new owner to operate the business.
Thomas however failed to name the business. Messages to him asking for details aren't answered. He's made a direct charge of malfeasance by the Cairns Regional Council, and yet fails to substantiate it.
Name the business so aggrieved, Thomas. Name it, dickhead. Something so appalling needs to be exposed. Name it. Forget the other 60 or 70.
NAME THIS BUSINESS, IAN THOMAS. . . . .
OR GET STUFFED.
