|CUEBALL MACKENZIE SHRIEKING |
HYSTERICALLY IN EFFORT TO HAVE
ABORIGINALS REMOVED FROM CAIRNS
And as usual, MacKenzie filled the airwaves with absolute lies in order to advance his argument.
He claims assaults in Cairns are "front page stories" in Asian capitals. We've looked, we've had Chinese, Japanese, and Indonesian readers look, and can't find any. Not even on page 65. None.
He claims "even the BBC has highlighted the crime in Cairns". A search of the extensive BBC website shows not one word, good or bad, about Cairns, Australia. Lots about ex-cricketer Chris Cairns, however.
And twisting a report on homelessness recently released, he now claims there are 1,300 homeless indigenous drunks in Cairns. However the real report has the vast majority of the 1,300 white families and children, with only 8% statewide reported to be aboriginals. This correlates with police reports that less than 100 indigenous cape residents are on the streets in Cairns.
And the hysteria was further amplified by Warren "Fat Fucker" Entsch, who criticised the closure of facilities like Lyons House, while ignoring the fact the he and Gavin "Don't Rape Me" King personally organised a slanderous assault on Diane Forsyth and Lyons House, an assault rejected in record time by the CMC. Entsch then complained about all the indigenous drinking during the daytime in the CBD, which brought a pointed response by the police - why didn't Warren Entsch call the cops if he saw all this illegal behaviour? Entsch is part of the problem, not the solution. Let's hope a competent candidate is going to run against this closeted dud when the election is called.
And then we have the comments by newly elected Cairns Mayor Bob "Screwdriver" Manning - who courageously said "the biggest role for council in this is one of advocacy on behalf of the businesses". More claptrap from ol' Screwdriver. Maybe he'd like to explain "on behalf of businesses" why his council is closing the lagoon for four weeks at the start of the high season????
Clearly a problem, hardly an "emergency". A much bigger problem is the continual turnover of police personnel, leaving large numbers of street cops ill-trained and obviously unable to implement any basic crime fighting strategies. Why are police assaults up? Because of these large numbers of poor-quality police recruits unable to assert and defend themselves.
Patience is growing thin even with the newly elected LNP members in Cairns, thanks to the MacKenzie-fabricated hysteria.
