MARTIN TENNI CONTINUES TO MAKE DISGUSTING HATEFUL STATEMENTS - AND JOHN MACKENZIE CONTINUES TO BROADCAST THEM WITH IMPUNITY - WHY???

MARTIN TENNI SPEAKING FROM HIS
HOME THIS MORNING
80 year old disHonorable Martin Tenni, a minister in the Joh Bjelke Peterson "government", today made some of the most hurtful and outrageous statements to ever be broadcast on 4CA.

This just the latest in a string of abusive, hateful comments - one of which is currently under investigation at ACMA.  MacKenzie has previously been cited by ACMA.

Today, in a discussion about the crocodile issue (which Cueball has elevated to a "crisis" that will "decimate the tourist industry"), Tenni made the following comments about the Queensland Government workers at the DERM charged with enforcing the law:

"What they're doing now is creating jobs for themselves, John.  That's what they're doing, they're not worried. . . them and the tourist operators couldn't care bloody less if a kid is taken tomorrow as long as they can create jobs for themselves and create a situation where a tourist can see a crocodile.  Even if it happens to have a four-year-old kid in its stomach, that doesn't worry them".

Gavin "Don't Rape Me" King was then put on the air, and said nothing to contradict this view.  So apparently the Joh Bjelke Newman government now believes that its workers at DERM are so immoral they are deliberately creating conditions that ensure a child or two is killed by a crocodile TO ENSURE THE JOBS OF THEMSELVES AND THEIR TOURIST INDUSTRY MATES!

THIS IS DESPICABLE!

We've got calls into the Cairns office of DERM, the Minister's office, and TTNQ in an attempt to find out exactly how many children they're willing to sacrifice to keep their jobs.

Every time we think we're at the bottom of the barrel, they manage to let a little more water out.

Bashing public service workers, latest Queensland sport. Surprised he did not call for the pooper scooper.

Tenni represents the true face of the old National Party. Corrupt, racist, ignorant and backwards.

I think even King is cringing when Tenni calls up to tell him how to run the State during one of his regular guest appearances on 4 CA. Several listeners called up the other day to contradict Tenni and complain about his vitriolic invective.

I think Mckenzie lets him on because there is a number of white, middle-aged rednecks who enjoy listening to this shite and who are still dreaming of the good old days under Joh, which was in fact something resembling a fascist dictatorship.

Let's not forget that Tenni was a member of the most corrupt state government this country has ever seen.He was either complicit or looking the other way. Those in government who claim they didn't know must have been stupid, blind and utterly incompetent.

While some cops were busy bashing demonstrators and disrupting rock concerts, their colleagues were out and about collecting bribes from whores, pimps, drug dealers and illegal bookmakers.

Tenni should hang his head in shame and just SHUT UP. He has nothing to be proud of. His legacy stinks worse than the corpse of a dead croc. A has-been who never amounted to much in the first place ! I think we should get Fitzgerald back to investigate the old bastard !!!

The government he was part of was receiving bribes in brown paper bags. The only reason Joh himself escaped jail is because the jury foreman at his trial " happened to be" a National Party member. Hizne only escaped jail by dying before he could be locked up.

Tenni is an evil fossil who despite his old age has learned nothing from life.

Saw Tenni at the doctors the other day. He looks like a living corpse, so should not be around for much longer. But while he is we can expect more vile rants on 4CA.

I'll be dancing on his grave dressed in a brown paper bag.

Where are the so-called unions on this issue? Why isnt Janine Aitkin or Stu Traillll on a soapbox screaming about the abuse of state employees? If there ever was a real issue, this is it. Where are they?

CDB Warrior, do you think the brain sozzled mackenzie would PERMIT Traill or Aitkin on his LNP ONLY show?? Incidentally, Ive been listening to his crap show and heard his continuous little dry cough...everyone should tune in and listen....Doc, if you'e still reading this, any opinion?

Newman is promising to privatise some of the public services so here we go with LNP hacks, family members and mates being given the jobs of CEOs, salaries of multi-millions etc so they can gouge out all the profits they can and run the services down to the ground like we have seen with Telstra and the old SGIO (which was turned into the robbing bastards, "Suncorp").

Jethro said...

Jesus, the bogans and rednecks in the town have all perked up and are creaming their jeans over the "crocodile eating children" thing. The screaming is going out for a cull, kill, kill, kill and more kill. Yeah well even when we had legal croc shooting in the State, crocs could still be found in and around Cairns. I doubt the bogans rednecks and intellectually challenged can work it out.

The honeymoon seems to be over. McKenzie publicly abused Bruce Flegg this morning (and I agree with him for once) for his backflip on tackling public housing issues.

He is now getting stuck into the QLD environment Minister for being to weak on crocodiles. His words: we elected this BLOODY LNP government to sort out our problems !!!!

Looks like you have been had Macca. Nothing much will change with this Brisbane focused government, except the withdrawing of funding from regional areas, which YOU and the likes of Pearl, Crockpot, Raj and all the other fuckwits agitated for.

And where is the bloody CEP that Manning promised would be completed in his first term ? Why aren't you jumping up and down about that ?

Can someone help me out here.Being the cynic I am, I am a little dubious that a croc actually took the dog ben at Kewarra beach, leaving the fact that it was a dumb thing to let the dog swim there in the first place. With someone saying they counted 24 I think it was from x to Palm Cove the nutters are out to get their way and the policy they want. The owner of ben was reported as saying he buried the dog. Having lived in Arnhem land and throughout northern Australia I have only ever seen crocs either eat on the spot or conceal the remains under something for a snack later on.Anyone?

Jethro said...

Once the Chinese pour into Cairns in their hundreds of thousands, people have a far greater chance of dying from multi-drug resistant tuberculosis than being eaten by a croc. Of course this wont be told though.

HBW - I think you have entered the realms of 'donkey abuse' with the picture. Perhaps a cockroach would be more suitable - but then, even the cockies have their uses (my household green tree frogs love them), so perhaps a pix of a flea would have been more apt to illustrate Tenni? {I have never worked out why, if God created the world, He/She would have invented fleas. If any entomologist is reading this, perhaps you could enlighten us?]

Whilst I didn't live in Cairns during the Joh era (was in Victoria) we of course heard lots about it. Vile, ghastly, repressive, abusive - currently, Slasher Newman is channelling Joh, one would think.

But back to the topic - last year I attended a 'meeting' about the CEP organised by Alan Blake, Mad Barry Neall, & a few other interesting specimens. There was four on the NO side, & only Val to present the PRO side. In the midst of this spectacle, Tenni got up clutching his walking stick & released such a torrent of verbal abuse that even members of the audience (about 95% NOs) got up to complain about Tenni's behaviour. Which led me to reflect: if he is this way in old age, he must have been truly hideous in his prime.

The audience was largely comprised of the very plump, very varicose, three chins each, & many on canes - and that was only the women. The men....

In many ways, as I sat there listening to this debacle (although Val defended herself well) I thought to myself: this is Old Cairns here, this is representative of the Old Guard of the 24,000 residents who lived here until the International Airport kicked in during 1984, & Cairns began expanding. Many were the Old Guard who wanted nothing more or less than Beer & Barramundi, with a bit of sleaze thrown in.

Yes, I have met & am friends with some Fab People who grew up in Cairns, & bless them. They think, they travel, they read.

But in the nether-reaches of the burbs, there are the Martin Tennis & Barry Nealls of the world, for whom progress is counted by the failure of anything new & innovative in Cairns.

Have a look at the picture of Tenni on Google images.Reminds me of the deep south of the USA circa 1960 redneck!

Anonymous 12:19 my comment on dancing on Tenni's grave is mild compared to the sort of stuff this poor excuse of a man comes out with day after day; hurtful, racist, ignorant and arrogant verbal abuse sparing no one.I am sure he has never shown any consideration for any of his perceived adversaries and would have gladly SPAT on their graves!

People like him being given so much oxygen by the likes of McKenzie are exactly the reason why blogs like this exist. In Tenni's glory days censorship was alive and well in QLD, but times have changed.

McKenzie today scoffed at the notion that it was not ok to torture and mutilate a crocodile. He then fueled a rumour that someone up North had be taken by a croc last night, which of course prompted a furious phone call from one of the regular fuckwits. The missing bloke had been found alive in the meantime, so there was eggs on faces all around. It almost seems they are wishing for some unfortunate child to be taken by a croc so they can start an all out massacre. Unfortunately for them the LNP is not buying into it.

Lillian, I was at the meeting held at the Creswell Hall, concerning the Entertainment Precinct. I did not recognise many long term locals. In fact the people I spoke with were all relatively new arrivals to Cairns, arriving from other States within the past few years. One thing which united them however was ignorance and parrotting mackenzie's absurd line that it would be "a white elephant".

Anonymous 15.42, you are correct about the corruption during the Joh years in Queensland. Anyone want to know more should read former. copper Jack Herbert's book, "The Bagman". In it he describes freely and openly the culture of graft and dishonesty in Queensland, a culture which rewarded the corrupt and mistreated the honest. It extended its gangrenous tentacles even as far as here in Cairns, although there wouldn't be too many Cairns people today who would know who was involved. It is hard not to look at the current lineup of LNP politicians today without feeling a cold shiver of deja vu. They are already recreating the same atmosphere in the police force the Joh Bjelke-Petersen Government did. Increasing the police force, increasing police powers and favouring the police force over other government functions.

Oh Martin we remember you. You were dobbed in by your corrupt Ministerial mate Don Lane as a rorter of the public purse.

"Don Lane was also mentioned in the Fitzgerald hearings and was later questioned by the commission about his financial affairs and allegations he had been involved in graft and paid bribes from illegal brothel owners. Lane seemed to adopt a strategy of ‘scuttling the entire ship’, implying that if he was going down then so too was everyone else. He told investigators that large amounts of unexplained additional income had come from misusing his ministerial expenses, but claimed such practices were widespread in the ministry. Newspaper headlines proclaimed ‘Lane exposes cabinet rorts’. Lane also named Geoff Muntz and Martin Tenni"

from the book "The Ayes Have It: The history of the Queensland Parliament, 1957–1989"

Any decent person would spend their remaining life hiding in shame after that. But then no decent person would rort the taxpayers money in the first place who they Martin!? So we know what you are not....

Despite all his big-noting on radio (when I was the Minister...) Tenni was only a bit player.Joh and Hinze (and the corrupt police commissioner) were running the show.

However, anyone who was a member of that government was complicit in the corruption and abuse of power that took place by default, either by being a direct beneficiary, by looking the other way or by failing to question what was going on.

Tenni seems to have forgotten that all this stuff is on record and easily accessible. It should be compulsory reading at high school, so the next generation is taught what can happen if you give dictatorial governments free rein.

It is a pity that Cairns does not have an investigative journalist who will expose this spiteful scoundrel for what he is in the mainstream media.

In the meantime Tenni should just SHUT UP. Condoning the taking of bribes from pimps and whores is nothing to be proud of.He should count himself lucky that he escaped a jail term. Send him to boot camp and let Pearl be the one who cracks the whip !!!

"Watcher" I would have to agree with your unease. Newman is rapidly recreating the exact same environment which nurtured and fostered police and ministerial corruption in this State. It was close to 30 years ago so how many can remember? King, for example, was a snot nosed shit bummed kid in NSW. He wasn't around to understand the constructs of the police culture then, hence he has no understanding of what was. I could bet my life as well that he wouldn't know who the Cairns people were engaged in the "Joke" as Jack Herbert called his corrupt cabal. Frankly, listening to King on his very close buddy's shit radio program the other day, talking his inane drivel about dredging the inlet just to sound like he is doing something, I could hear the unmistakeable cadence of the Minister for Everything, Russ Hinze.

ruby said...

I can only hope the results of the Fitzgerald Inquiry will prevent such corruption in the police force again. However I believe we will see another type of corruption, one which seems more acceptable then coppers taking "protection money" off brothels, emerge during the Newman Government. Now that Newmans government have demonised the public service and are ruthlessly destroying it, Newman is already talking about "privatising" many of the public services. Here comes the corruption - LNP hacks and family members will be given the cushy CEO positions with multi-million dollar salaries, LNP members will be "shareholders" and they will rip out as much profits as they can, ignoring customer service, increasing charges to the maximum, even for previously free services, working the staff into the ground while paying them the lowest wages and poorest conditions legally possible. It's on its way, so get prepared for a few more "TELSTRAS" and 'SUNCORPS" operating in Queensland. Corruption comes in many different forms.

Unbelievable, King was AGAIN on the Mackenzie radio show, this time rabbiting on and on about the Chinese New Year festival...doing the job of the Mayor or one of the Councillors. Does King understand what his role is? Christ, can he talk shit, here he is going on and on about what is being planned for next year...Oh, and just listen to the intimate, fawning tone of rugnut's voice.
Because of his ineptitude as a State Member of Parliament, King seems to have pushed himself into the role of defacto Mayor as a means of keeping himself before the public. Old Bob may as well stay home napping in his favorite chair.

You people are all so despicable. I can't believe the depths you will sink to, to discredit Martin Tenni who is the much admired and respected Godfather of my child. I have long admired Martin Tenni and am modelling myself on his awesome representation of Barron River. He is such a kindly gentleman and so honest and compassionate, he would give you the shirt off his back. Awesome! Truly, I see him as one of the very best people I know, so intelligent, cool and witty. He knows he can talk to me whenever he wants. Awesome. In fact I suspect he likes me because he knows we have a lot in common. We'e different from the ordinary ranks of people. The Joh Government was the most awesome government in Australia, and probably the world. I dont believe all that shit about Herbert, Lewis and whoever. Oh, and jim-bob, thanks for the compliment as well. Yes, I am like Russ Hinze, the Minister for Everything, as you said. Awesome! I am multi-skilled and can do the Mayor's job as well as the Member's job. Poor old Bob isn't on the ball much, so I have to do his job for him as well. He's so lucky that I am there to help him do the job and so are the people of Cairns. As John Mackenzie said the other day, "Gavin", "Gavin" he said, looking at me, "Gav, I don't know, I just don't know how we managed to keep a city going without you. I really don't know how we coped."
Well toodlepips everyone.

Can I wander off topic here for a minute and ask is there any logic in building new shopping centres? Should those that own shops go on rate strike? Why is coucnil stimulating more shopping development at ratepayer expense? Aged care sounds useful, but shops?

Anonymous said...

Seth, you are correct. King is insinuating himself into the Mayor's role. He is inept and a fucken dud at representing Cairns in the State parliament, but one of the critical facts in politics is to keep your name before the public. Doesn't matter what you say, keep your name out there. He is fortunate in that Manning is too lethargic and dozy as well as he doesn't care because he is only in for one term, so King can push him aside and assume mayoral announcements. Mackenzie is assisting him in this deception without question.

In itself a Chinese street festival is a great idea, as long as it is not just about promoting the businesses of LNP members and 4CA sponsors. Wasn't it Val Schier's idea to narrow a section of Grafton st. and create a Chinese heritage trail ? McKenzie of course managed to have another dig at that in between praising King to the hilt for his amazing :"initiative".

And Seth is right of course. What's King got to do with it ?

Bob M. also appeared on cue to mumble something about something. Didn't quite get what it was about. Not about a new CEP, that's for sure...

I think we should put a statue of Tenni in City Place. It would be a great spot for the local drunks to have a piss.

Just wait until you see what's in store for the General Aviation side of the airport. Shopping Centres, hotels and lots lots more. With nothing happening in the CBD as the Civic gets "mothballed " for "renovations" it'll be a ghost town 1 block back from the esplanade. If you have a small business in the CBD expect it to get a whole lot smaller under Mayor Bob Missing.

Is there a way to find out if his donations were declared for tax purposes?

Agree Dean

You build something like the CEP, you beautify the city. You know what the council role actually is and then developers have good reason to invest, So then do not need any handouts.

So now we get another pile of concrete. Oh joy.

Jethro you're spot on there mate. We have more chances of contracting tuberculosis from the hundreds of thousands of Chinese about to fly in to Cairns, than being grabbed by a croc. T.B. is an air borne virus and can spread through coughing, sneezing or spitting. Back in July, all 500 students of the Queensland Institute of Technology had to be tested for the disease after an Asian student tested positive. That's the problem with this disease, it is so contagious that if anyone has the bloody disease, then everyone within a close vicinity has to go and be tested. However with all the cutbacks Newman is doing to Queensland Health, Im starting to wonder if our health system would be able to prevent a serious contagion from starting.

Maybe the CMC should be keeping an eye on this one.
