REPORTS OF ANOTHER STUNNING LOSS TO CAIRNS REGION THANKS TO NEW LNP QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT

We've had several reports since yesterday that our three hardworking Queensland LNP MP's, Gavin "Don't Rape Me" King, Michael "Trouty" Trout, and David Kempton have been told the Cairns Airport-based Queensland Rescue Helicopter will be eliminated in the new budget.

EMQ Helicopter Rescue has refused comment.

We are also unable to confirm widespread reports that Campbell Newman is planning to close the Bruce Highway north of Rockhampton.  He's reportedly told the Minister of Main Roads Scott Emerson "they've all drive utes up there, what the fuck do they need nice highways for?  More money for tunnels in Brisbane!"

More soon. . .

Wow, didn't realise how deep this fiscal black hole was. I guess Black & White taxis can replace ambulances too, though not sure how either can deal with an emergency out on the reef. I guess we can come to an arrangement with Quicksilver. Well done Can Do.

King wrote a very defensive letter into The Cairns Post today using words like "rants". Seems like the job is starting to get to him. Yawwwwwwwn. Pshhh, and this was the newspaper warrior who ripped into Val Schier week after week, month after month, year after year with his poison pen? By the time the next State Election comes around he will be a slobbery, stuttering, quivering bag of bones, snot streaked face, screaming nerves and pissed pants, only existing on maxi doses of PrOZAC. A pissweak caricature of a man.

LNP have donated 200,0oo to the TV show Big Brother. So that says it all really. www.news.com.au/national/newman-government-defends-200k-allocation-to-big-borther-production-after-slashing-cash-support-for-literary-awards/story-fndo4ckr-1226463949609

If this is the truth, this is the biggest dissapointment of the LNP tenure to date.
This vital life-saving service should be"Not Negotiable" in a region which covers thousands of square kilometers of country which is difficult to acess by road in the best of times, and impossible at some times of the year.
If our current representatives (at local, state & Federal levels) can not go in to bat for FNQ on this issue they do not deserve to retain their jobs

I only ever partially watched one episode of that shit program. As I understood it, people living in a house were spied on, and then had to report each week to some lecturing arseole about what they did. Yeah I can see the LNP donating to such a fascist show.

"The King" in his own words, 21 May 2011:

We need to compromise on the Cairns entertainment precinct, scale back the cost to a maximum of $120 million and start building it immediately on the waterfront site, otherwise, it will remain bogged down in a stalemate for years.

We need to revive the CBD and build more sporting infrastructure.

And we need to do all of these things yesterday.

Well we don't want all those Emergency Department queue jumpers arriving by helicopter and making everyone else wait on the ambulance ramp do we?

LNP - committed to tackle ambulance ramping.

The next strategy to reduce ramping is to reduce the number of ambulances. Just remember there was no such thing as ramping under the Nationals and Libs when ambulance subscription was voluntary.

Just thought I would provide feedback to HBW and its many viewers that I did not receive any communication back from the Member for Cairns, Gavin King, about my concerns regarding tuberculosis. Let that stand on the record. I have done further research on tuberculosis and am appalled at how it is resurfacing in Western countries, largely as a result of international travel. When we open up our airport to thousands of Chinese, we will be putting ourselves and our community at risk. Gavin King evidently doesn't care or is unable to understand the gravity of the situation.

Jethro. Is that pirnt edition of the post as cannot find it online?

Noticed on his Facebook trying to take credit for the improved economy in Cairns when not sure it has improved, and if it has he had nothing to do with it. They get precious don't they!

I see pearl in the paper complaining people are using the term "anonymous" on sites like this instead of our real names. The reason is pearl if we used our names you might ring us and start singing and we have enough problems with howling dogs in our suburb without more obnoxious wailings thank you very much.

Does anyone know anything about the meeting of 25 being held in Cooktown -Seeney is there plus others -I think it concerns the future of the Cape -Wild Rivers perhaps??

She talks about bullying too, which is a bit rich for someone who ran a relentless one- woman hate campaign against Val Schier. It was all about the person and not he policy. If it was really about policy Pearl wouldn't be sucking up to King and Manning who so far have delivered none of their election promisies. Bring on the bootcamp for Wangetti ! Pearl needs another cause to keep her busy.

Yes, bring on the Boot Camp at Wangetti. Let's hope it has some of the worst, most troubled, psycho youth imagineable attending. Pearl has said she is passionately in favour of "boot camps" so here's her chance to stick to her strong principles and bake some cup cakes to take to the boys in the Boot Camp next door.

I can just see pearl hanging off the barb wire at three in the morning screeching out her songs to sooth the troubled youth, either that or on the LNP talkback program complaining bitterly that she had lobbied for the camp to go else where and no one is paying attention to her anymore..Yawn.
