From what people are saying, King must have a bloody long list of "ratbags" he doesn't want to communicate with.
I might remind people that a Member of Parliament swears an Oath on becoming a Member, to serve their constituents "WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOUR." King has breached that Oath and I suspect he isn't the only LNP member to do so.

Has there been a polly who has shat the bed so badly from day one, then just continued shitting?

If it isn't losing every major project in Cairns, it is hiscondescending, Newman arselicking media releases on Facebook. Then he abuses people who factr check and call him on it.

This guy is the biggest fucktard in politics FNQ has seen since Martin Tenni.

Hoist with his own petard. There is so much 'King generated' embarrassing stuff out there, it will be re-quoted for years. Funny how the past can come back to bite you ... as the Mad Monk is just finding out.

Majority of people voted for the LNP,if you want to complain organise meetings to protest march to the Cairns Post ar Maccas radio station, send protest letters to Ginas Channel 10 that employs Bolt to spew out hatred, similar Alan Jones and the rest of the shock jocks, these are the org's that bend minds.

I have never heard the like of what is happening. People all over are complaining that they cannot reach anyone in King's Electorate Office, that there is a permanent message on his answering machine and no-one bothers to return the calls. I'm beginning to wonder if King has decided he is only a oncer so he isn't going to bother keeping the electorate happy. If this is the case, then he is seriously breaching all his responsibilities as a political representative of the people.

Whoa there anonymous comparing any human with Martin Tenni is a stretch. Tenni opposed everything in his time-particularily the airport, the new Hospital, the Lagoon.
A true boil on our backsides

King is not a good politician but in his defence I see few that would be. The ones that support him are worse so heaven help us if any of them stand for election.

I could name only 2 or 3 people in Cairns that are interested in politics who woud make good politicians.

Some really need to be told to butt out, they think they have the answers but are too stupid for words.

Cairns has to find good people and beg them to stand for election.

Far from "responding to the concerns of constituents" - which as others have pointed out they are legally obliged to do - King, Can't-Do and Minister Jack Dempsey all ran away from their constituents at their media stunt at Barron River Towing yesterday.

They scuttled out the back door like the vermin they are when front-line emergency services people such as our firies sought an explanation of the LNP's savage job cuts.

Remember Anna, folks. Always willing to front up when the going got tough. Always stood tall and took whatever flak came her way.

What cockroaches this rabble are.

What's wrong with being a ratbag? (although I can see where excluding us would sure reduce the workload in Cairns (50% rats in a sack).

Val Schier always stood up and answered her detractors. I recall her on rugnut's radio program answering calmly and with dignity the hate filled tirades of Phil and Pearl who had been fired up with animosity by Mackenzie all week. I also saw Val on the stage by herself facing a crowd of rabid Mackenzie supporters at the Croswell Hall last year where she put her case for the Entertainment Precinct. Yes,by comparison King, Trout etc are gutless cowardly sooks.

Did anyone else get an email from Bryan Law re the City Square $5mill?? How did Mr Law manage to get to see Cando,King and the guy from Transport Dept on this subject?

Anonymous said...

Wrong names sorry! Bryan Law saw Bob Manning, Gavin King and a guy from the Transport Dept and he was told by them that a decision would be made by xmas.

Bryan Law is in love with Gawain Bling, the Dishonourable Member for Mackenzie, Anonymous 15.17. He reckons Bling is "the golden haired boy who can do no wrong, ever." Law also publicly declares his support for Newman whenever he has a chance.

McKenzie had the QLD treasurer on in a carefully screened appearance. First the useless rubbish by Martin "brown paper bag" Tenni, who seems to think that HE is back in charge, telling the Minister what to do. This was followed by the regular LNP suck-ups, Col, Bill, Shorty and the irritating Raj and a few others. Only Pearl was missing. No one asked any hard questions of course. What a pathetic excuse for a radio show that is nothing but a blatant LNP mouth organ.

As for the current member for Cairns, even the unpleasant battle ax that ran the office for the previous useless member was more responsive.

I had some run ins with Desley's staff, but at least they were professional in telling me to piss off.

The reason the best man for Cairns Mr King, has a answering machine is so he dosn't have to listen to you mob of whinging labor thugs go on and on and on, BLA,BLA,BLA

When King's office had trouble helping me I went to Pitts. The bloke there was pretty helpful and the young shiela a bit of a looker. And they bloody well got me answers.

same thing happened to me at Warren Entsch's office. Weren't interested, too hard. Told me to go to Jan McLucas' office who were helpful and fixed the problem without fuss.

King has now descended into the complete caricature of the type of politician he used to despise so much. Just saw him and that fishy bloke on tv standing behind some senior LNP minister, all looking grim and King obediently nodding his head while the minister was talking. A bloody head nodder who has achieved nothing for Cairns. And a dithering, confused old fool for a Mayor. What have we done to deserve this ?

More wisdom from Gavin "Don't Rape Me" King:

We all know politicians from both sides are manufactured on conveyor belts and forced to act like performing parrots to spread a unified party message.

This is a true story. Campbell Newman and all his Ministers have been in Cairns for the last three days. No secret Ambos and Firies are very pissed off with his attack on our service. However, Paramedics were called to assist one of his staff yesterday. As the Paramedics administered their care, Campbell commented "I thought only Doctors could give needles". This is a horrendous comment by a person who is putting the knife through professions who he obviously has no understanding. Anyone can become a politician, no qualifications required. The rest of us have to work very hard for a very long time to do what we do. Something is really wrong with our system when the unqualified and inexperienced are in control of the qualified and experienced. How could this occur?

king does not have any signage outside his dogbox only a coreflute on the door maybe knows only in for one term

Jethro said...

T. Asquith, that is a very very good point. I think however with politicians (the good ones anyway) they tend to know a little about a lot, whereas qualified tradies, professionals etc know a lot about a little. That make sense?

Gavin,

The gift that keeps on giving.....

Gavin King:

Do we have local members in Cairns? I sometimes confuse them with Brisbane representatives in Cairns…

Gavin King:
I am a political junky Anthony and I imagine actually getting into politics would completely spoil my love of politics! Seeing what elected officials get done I wonder if I’m more use to the city writing, advocating and holding them to account through the newspaper and web rather than becoming one of them!

lots of food for thought, lol

Interesting conversations today around town, more people are turning off the Mackenzie program. To quote one lady, "Is Mackenzie a homosexual in love with Gavin King or something?" !!!!!!?????? I just shrugged.
