SEVERAL INVITATIONS FOR CAIRNS RESIDENTS TO ATTEND TONY ABBOTT "COMMUNITY BREAKFAST" KNOCKED BACK BY NERVOUS AND PARANOID WARREN ENTSCH

We've received several reports that RSVP's to the "Meet Tony Abbott" breakfast are being knocked back by a nervous Minister for Blogs, Warren Entsch - the "invitation" quickly turning into an "un-vitation" as the RSVP emails are cross-referenced with the Entsch Enemies List.

One staffer has said that Entsch is especially skittish as rumours fly thru Cairns about an LNP party member with "a domestic problem".  Mr. Entsch, on the other hand, had plenty to say earlier this week about the rejection of a chemist shop licence at Yorkey's Knob - where, as he pointed out TWICE to Cueball, he's now living.

This is quite different than his filed Parliamentary Member's Interest Statement which shows a Yorkey's Knob property as a rental, with his primary residence in Whitfield.

Several known community activists from both major parties are said to have received the "un-vitations" like this one.  Entsch is rumoured to be on thin ice with several of the frontbench Shadow Ministers who have Abbott's ear, and as a result seems anxious to ensure a trouble-free visit from the Leader.

We note as well that since the announcement of this "Community Breakfast" was posted earlier this week, readers at an IP address registered to the Australia Federal Police  (168.152.27.182) have taken up reading the Hillbilly Watch Blog.  Thanks for joining us, spooks!

Don't want no problems at breakfast with the "Community" Monday, now do we Warren?  And the best way to ensure that?  Handpick the "community" you'd like Tony to meet!

Now you've mentioned the Federal spooks no one will post a comment against the LNP in case they trace our IP address. By the way isn't Tony such a nice person :-)

I wouldn't want to meet with Abbott or even see him. He just has no appeal to me whatsoever, so I won't be getting out of bed early.

Good stuff HBW. But if the Mad Monk gets in later this year, be careful as democracy in our proud country is on the brink of collapse, sadly.... And certain pollies go on about Fiji and Malaysia. Even Sir Robert Menzies would be disgusted!

But anonymous 18:55, I DID say Tony is such a nice person :-~ (fingers crossed behind back)

Stop being so paranoid - obviously the Federal Police are intelligent enough to work out they'll find a lot more facts here than from the local fish and chips wrapping.

Just use the Onion Router. Be careful of those exit nodes though.

The Federal Police (Anonymous 18:55) are for the most part wage earning family men and women. Their sentiments are more likely with this blog than with anything they see, hear, or read on other Cairns media.
As for HBW and all contributors getting three years imprisonment; ROFL. 'Dear Leader' has not yet emerged here.

I know of one person who has managed to get an invite, and they intend to heckle Tony and create a bit of a ruckus. Bet nothing gets reported in the compost!

Please arrest me.

I want the whole world to know how sad it is for us in Cairns.

Such a beautiful place tarnished by extreme right wing greed. Then we are banned from all LNP related websites, monitored by police now and you know the whole fascist treatment.

They even brought in armoured vehicles. maybe for when the 50 of us, mainly old retired folk riot in the city.

We will bring our walkers, Don't you worry. We will not resist arrest.

TAS, I think there is a growing fear that a "Dear Leader" Stalinist type despot might emerge on the Australian scene. Actions of a few local pollies in refusing to face the public and their reactions to public criticism are worrying. The same local pollies who monopolise a certain radio station and refuse equal time for anyone in the opposing political camps. These are not the actions of people who cherish democratic ideals.

Hi Jane, I would think you would be most concerned about defamation given your past experiences. No onion router here oooops hang on no onion router anywhere!

That's an interesting list of declared properties. Much different to one I saw a few years ago.

I wonder where the grazing properties on the Cape have gone? Or the unit in Cairns where a certain young "lady" lived before heading off to the NT.

That monopolised radio station, ruby, probably has the smallest amount of listeners than any. And many of them are HBW contributors entertaining themselves by listening to Cueball's latest contrived 'crisis' and the mad ravings of Pearl, et al. It's an amusing exposé of the backward-thinking of that small band of intellectual pygmies purporting to 'influence' and 'leadership' in Cairns. If I have a criticism of HBW, it's that it has elevated Mckenzie to the status of someone with the ability to polarise opinion. That he does not. He is just a small town third-rate shock jock (joke?) interviewing an incestuously small group of right-wing wannabe's preaching to the converted, day in day out, ad nauseam.
If/when a 'Dear Leader' ever monopolises the ABC in this way ... then we have arrived in Pyongyang Central.

We note the comments and concern being raised about alleged domestic incidents involving political figures. We of course don't want to be involved in politically-orchestrated smears on people, nor are we interested in "sensationalised" reporting. Should real facts surface we of course will share them with our readers. We've deleted one post in the interest of caution, although we note that there is far more detail and mud being thrown about this subject on Twitter.

We have also been advised that the AFP monitoring is routine when high-level public officials are named "in the press". We're honoured that the AFP have bestowed us with the title of "Press". Monitoring does NOT extend to IP addresses of commenters, and Google doesn't readily give up such data.

No matter who the leaders, they deserve our respect as holders of the office, and we have never tolerated slurs of the Prime Minister, or opposition Leader, irrespective of the party.

Two well written postings I sent in supporting Tony Abbott have not been published!
Yet crap like the above posts gets published!
Talk about MacKenzie vetting his phone calls ...

JOHN MACKENZIE'S HILLBILLY WATCH said...

To the whinger (above): These weren't well written postings supporting Tony Abbott - if they were, they would have been published. If you can't separate your support from obscene and/or derisive attacks at the same time, you'll never see anything here.

sorry everyone but i was on a slow boat to china but it sunk off green island from all the weight my punters took from the casino

Anonymous said...

I'm sure most readers of HBW would like to see a well written comment in support of Tony Abbott, particularly if you could outline some of his policies because they are pretty hardto come by except for turning boats around and no carbon tax and no NBN and climate change is crap. Hey and welcome back Shanghai. Sanity has returned.

CBD Warrior said...

This makes a mockery of the word "community". It's a travesty to see perfectly reasonable members of the Cairns community blocked by gates from a "Community Breakfast".

TOTALLY AGREE TAS.

WTF did you say Shanghai, something about you put on weight and brought a new chinese boat from your winnings from the casino, and sailed to Green Island and you sunk because your punters are to slow.

Warren Entsch was just on Seven News banging on about any Councillors voting against moving flying foxes would have someone's death on their conscience. Pity he wasn't saying anything like that when his boss John Howard and his party voted to send Australian soldiers to their deaths in Iraq based on a lie about weapons of mass destruction.

Anonymous said...

Sorry anonymous 13:39 but you didn't appear to complete your comment."..your punters are to slow..." doesn't make any sense.

Heard the ratio of protesters to invitees was close to equal. Most LNP supporters couldnt afford the breakfast as they are saving to pay the next power bill X 21.4%

Those who did attend Abbotts morning nosh-up religiously tuned in to Cueball at 9am for the re-reading of Friday's newspaper.

Anonymous said...

I saw a distressed Stench standing next to the Mad Monk as he was being confronted by protesters.

Anonymous said...

McKenzie got stuck into Tony today about the grog bans in the communities. Unfortunately for Cueball, Tony wouldn't have a bar of it. The LNP is therefore endorsing the QLD ALP's measures. McLeod St. Talk about being irrelevant and out of touch.

Anonymous said...

Was Tony really in Cairns yesterday? Can't find a mention in the CP or the CM online. I didn't get to see TV last night -what is happening to our news reporting in Cairns?

Bob R. said...

Entsch is just like King, Trout and Kempton, he cannot take conflict or confrontation. Nanny Mackenzie lovingly protects them all, of course, on his radio program and The Cairns Post looks nicely after them as well. However, nothing can stop protestors from taking to the streets to show their angst! Of course Entsch is therefore going to look "distressed". At the last election forum held at Brothers Leagues Club in 2010, Entsch had the meeting stacked with his loud and rowdy supporters who cheered him on, and who jeered and cat called whenever Jim Turnour tried to speak. It was obviously all orchestrated beforehand so that Entsch would be, again "protected and cossetted" from any concerted opposition. We can expect the same tactics again this year. Entsch cannot deal with conflict!!

Bus. Op. said...

As a business operator, I received an invite to attend the breakfast, but the thought of seeing Entsch and Abbott so early in the morning would have made me puke. Someone said Entsch looked "stressed". Yeah, probably had a hang over.

jim-bob jnr said...

So Entsch is already attaching himself to a populist issue, that of the flying foxes, hammering on about people dying. For fucks sake how many people have died from these flying foxes?? He's scaremongering away for all he's worth. But hey it will strike a responsive chord in the minds of the rednecks who will all say, "Oh gee I really like the way he's doing something about those bloody flying foxes." He isn't doing anything of course, just making a lot of noise, but it works a treat with the morons.

A very jovial, avuncular Entsch was on the Mackenzie program today. Once again, no nasty callers. The bird is on the wing, God's in his heaven and all is well with the world for Entsch. Everyone loves him.
