Several known community activists from both major parties are said to have received the "un-vitations" like this one. Entsch is rumoured to be on thin ice with several of the frontbench Shadow Ministers who have Abbott's ear, and as a result seems anxious to ensure a trouble-free visit from the Leader.

Actions of a few local pollies in refusing to face the public and their reactions to public criticism are worrying. The same local pollies who monopolise a certain radio station and refuse equal time for anyone in the opposing political camps. These are not the actions of people who cherish democratic ideals.

We of course don't want to be involved in politically-orchestrated smears on people, nor are we interested in "sensationalised" reporting. Should real facts surface we of course will share them with our readers. We've deleted one post in the interest of caution, although we note that there is far more detail and mud being thrown about this subject on Twitter.
We have also been advised that the AFP monitoring is routine when high-level public officials are named "in the press". We're honoured that the AFP have bestowed us with the title of "Press". Monitoring does NOT extend to IP addresses of commenters, and Google doesn't readily give up such data.

Entsch is just like King, Trout and Kempton, he cannot take conflict or confrontation. Nanny Mackenzie lovingly protects them all, of course, on his radio program and The Cairns Post looks nicely after them as well. However, nothing can stop protestors from taking to the streets to show their angst! Of course Entsch is therefore going to look "distressed". At the last election forum held at Brothers Leagues Club in 2010, Entsch had the meeting stacked with his loud and rowdy supporters who cheered him on, and who jeered and cat called whenever Jim Turnour tried to speak. It was obviously all orchestrated beforehand so that Entsch would be, again "protected and cossetted" from any concerted opposition. We can expect the same tactics again this year. Entsch cannot deal with conflict!!
As a business operator, I received an invite to attend the breakfast, but the thought of seeing Entsch and Abbott so early in the morning would have made me puke. Someone said Entsch looked "stressed". Yeah, probably had a hang over.
So Entsch is already attaching himself to a populist issue, that of the flying foxes, hammering on about people dying. For fucks sake how many people have died from these flying foxes?? He's scaremongering away for all he's worth.
