LNP ATTACKS FNQ VOTERS WITH MASSIVE TAX AND LEVY INCREASES - WITHOUT A PEEP FROM OUR LOCAL SPINELESS LNP MEMBERS

WORKING HARD FOR THE PEOPLE
OF FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
You'll all remember Warren Entsch, Minister for Blogs.  He's been running this completely ineffectual campaign about the high prices of home insurance that apparently have been assessed on Queenslanders - NORTH OF ROCKHAMPTON.

He's been on the Cueball show, bellowing CRISIS! at every opportunity.  And as we previously reported, insiders have confirmed that several of his LNP colleagues have asked him to shut his pie hole while the adults work to resolve the issues with the insurance companies.

When the LNP gained government in Queensland last year, 'ol Entschy said she'll be right now.  Among his proposals was a moratorium on the Queensland state government insurance stamp duty.  And 'ol Entschy worked his arse off, telling his LNP colleagues our tales of woe on the cost of insurance.

So what did his LNP mates do for Warren Entsch?

In the LNP budget announcement yesterday, Treasurer Tim Nichols not only didn't put a morotorium on the insurance stamp duty, but he INCREASED IT TO 9%!

Warren Entsch is clearly the most ineffectual and worthless MP to ever represent Leichhardt.  He can't even get his own party to come to the table!

Local LNP pollies are bunkered down after hearing this budget announcement, which also includes a backflip on promised caps on regional electricity pricing and other cost increases for families and pensioners.  The LNP has however tipped a $52,900 WAGE INCREASE FOR OUR PARLIAMENTARIANS!

But the rest of us can look for a 21% increase in electricity on July 1 as well.

While this story is front page news in Brisbane, and across most of the state, in Cairns we get a guy in a racing wheelchair.

So much for the LNP "Contract with North Queensland".

I still have an LNP election flyer stating all promises/policy : " 100% FULLY FUNDED, FULLY COSTED, GUARANTEED,PLEDGED" and signed by CAMPBELL NEWMAN. The bastards are a pack of LIARS. And the three LNP northern members fully backed by the LNP Radio Show host Mackenzie are gutless grubs.

That fucken Townsville post won't print my letter, and all I said was that the Paperboy was a complete waste of oxygen and i'm sure he is Warren Entsch love child. The extra $52,000 he going to get for loosing Cairns so much and sacking people, and fucking up the boot camp he should put it towards his pet project, yet another failure and that's the city make over.

Lying useless Muppets. King is as useful as a marzipan dildo.

Everyone thought Labor duded Cairns, prepare to be completely forgotten as the Lord Twerp of Brisbane funnels all his spending to SEQ where they have all the Seats they need to stay in power.

Also an easy bet to make it Townsville will receive all the token money for regional cities to the Lord Twerp can point to it at budget time and say "see i am spending in the regions".

Lets face it, we collectively put this government in with its massive majority because we no longer loved Labor. But it was the out of the frying pan into the fire. Are we sorry yet? The answer is probably no, because on 14th September, the polls tell us we are going to do it again. This country has never been more polarised.

What has happened with the "Waste Tax"? and don't blame me for this fiasco -I VOTED LABOR! God help us all if the Silvertails have a massive majority at the Fed level -this is small bickies compared to the LNP on a National level. They will look after their big business mates and the rest can go begging.

Jethro said...

Notice how quiet the media is on it all. No Mackenzie thundering away about broken promises and transparency. No righteous condemnations of the huge increase in parliamentary salaries. Yet if it was a Labor Government the media would be all fired up and Mackenzie roaring away. Anna Bligh had parliamentary salaries all frozen during her term in office. It didn't make any difference to the voting though, so I guess the LNP can give themselves whatever they want.

So Kay Male of Southside is the new John Silverman with an opinion on everything in the the Townsville OutPost, even arguing against the push for Kuranda to remain with the Tablelands and not the Mareeba Shire when she(he?) lives nowhere near the areas concerned. Another monumental LNP stuff up and waste of tax payer's money as we know now the cost of reestablishing the Mareeba shire is going to cost a hell of a lot more than put forward by the proponents in their quest to win votes.

Oops apologies for the deleted double post there Hillbilly. Related to this post I had intended to do something myself on the most recent strata insurance seminar hosted by Archers body corporate, and featuring Warren Entsch as star speaker.

As suggested here, Wazza did in fact let slip that his own LNP spokesman (Senator Mathias Cormann from W.A.) regarded him as a bit of an idiot whenever Wazz tried to raise the insurance issue.

Also in a highly political seminar the Wazz was asked when he may be able to really do something and started to waffle about September 14 election. It was only then that the Archers host stepped in and suggested that, well, pretty much everything that had been discussed was related to state legislation and people should contact their state member! A great moment sadly lost on many seminar attendees!!

That photo was taken on Election Night when the ALP Bligh Government was annihilated. Yeah I'm sure everyone is real happy now. Real happy. As for September, we're in for a repeat performance no two ways about it. The punters are being all psyched up to vote the Gillard Government out without thinking about what they are voting in. That's the way it goes today. I mean, look at what we got for Mayor in Cairns now?

Bob R. said...

Good piccy of florid faced Entsch with his ubiquitous big glass of red in hand. From memory that piccy was taken on the night of the State Election when Queenslanders gave an inexperienced Campbell Newman, someone who had no experience in parliament whatsoever, the biggest majority ever in Australian history so that he could do whatever he wanted. Yep Queenslanders just handed over all the reins of government to an unknown. Now we hear people whinging and whining and blaming all politicians and not their stupid idiotic selves for being sucked in like fucken morons. Looks like King is going to be the highest paid State Member for Cairns ever. For getting us nothing. Wonder where the fuck that $38 million which was given by the Bligh Government for the CBD upgrade in the 2011 Budget has gone to? Is it stashed away in some offshore bank account somewhere? Who the fuck knows?
PS Sorry ladies like ruby, Liz, Alison, Emma, Jan for my choice language here. Sorry if I offended you.

More bad news for Cairns in Manning 's budget, reduced CBD upgrade, downgrades to the CEP ( not sure how you can downgrade something that does not exist). Meanwhile the King of Spin blithely ignores all the bad news on his FakeBook, posting soppy good news stories and sporting events instead.

McKenzie is clearly worried. Not about electricity price rises, stamp duty increases or all the broken election promises. He is worried that the LNP are not properly justifying what they are doing and why they are doing it. They are not selling the message apparently. With an election only 1 and half year away they can expect a massive swing against them. That's what McKenzie is worried about. Not that we are being screwed over by this bunch of lying, incompetent fools.

The Member For Jack Shit knows his days are numbered and I recon he's thinking, well an extra $100,000 will help him pack up his crap and move to Brisbane come the next election. Sadly, the tenants advisor service in Cairns is closing because the Newman government is withdrawing funds due to the precarious financial position left by the former Labor government - despite the fact that Federal Labor has stumped up the money to continue the service.

Actually the service was funded by Queensland Labor from the interest of rental bonds paid by tenants to the Rental Tenancies Authority (RTA) Queensland - no cost to taxpayers.

Let's ignore that the rental/investor industry detests this group that advises tenants of their rights. Let's forget that they have lobbied the LNP to stop these services. Let's forget that the industry lobby was a huge contributor to the LNP at the last state election.

Lest we forget.

When is a major media outlet going to do an expose on what is happening in this state.

Queensland is going back to the 'good old ways'.

Lest we forget - because it is now our state's future.

Wan King is keeping a low profile. No more daily grooming sessions on talk back, only fluffy stories on his FakeBook. All the regulars seem to have abandoned him, except for Beverley, who probably has grandmotherly feelings for him.But he has recruited a whole new bunch of people to "like" his posts. Strangely no attempt to spin himself out of all the broken election promises. He is just ignoring it instead, hoping it will all go away. Stench was huffing and puffing about the stamp duty increase on insurance premiums yesterday, spending most of his time attacking the federal government, McLucas, Gillard in a long winded, rambling and incoherent rant, , before admitting that it was a bad move by the State government to increase the stamp duty. Which he then immediately tried to trivialise. Entsch, King and Manning...How did we end up with those three incompetent stooges ?

Anonymous said...

After mentioning broken promises a few times yesterday, it was business as usual today on "talk back "with non-stop attacks on the Feds, the Greens and environmentalists and crocs, crocs , crocs.

Keith Cooke was allowed to drone on for ever, but McKenzie got up him, because he wasn't radical enough.

Then local government Minister Crisafulli publicly supported the coming electricity price hikes and pay increases to QLD politicians, before being sucked into the crocodile thing.
According to the Minister people are more important than animals, because crocs and bats don't pay rates....go figure...

The hilbillies will be lapping it up.

The one caller that was allowed to ask a critical question was dispensed off quickly as usual. What a load of crock !!!

Entsch has quite a track record of huffing and puffing, making a hell of a lot of noise, gab gab gab, then putting the blame on and leaving the solution to someone else. Who could ever forget the overpowering noise he made last Federal Election confecting an emotive racially dividing issue about dugongs and turtles, yet after the election he dumped the whole issue onto the State Government. As someone else on this blog said a few weeks back, university research conclusively now reveals native hunting isn't to blame for falling numbers of dugongs and turtles. The issue exaggerated by the media served its purpose in getting Entsch re-elected.

ruby said...

Anonymous 13.14, the cold facts are that people DID believe all the lies and spin the Newman LNP team made during the election campaign. They believed it so much they handed over the reins of government to a man who had no parliamentary experience whatsoever and gave him and his government an unparalleled majority enabling Newman to do whatever he wanted. Now the whinging, whining and screaming is going on, and I am seeing people, their faces twisted with rage and bitterness, blaming not themselves, but "all fucken politicians". Those who voted for Newman and who have been badly done by, don't see that they are to blame for voting Newman in. They allowed themselves to be emotionally fired up and voted a government OUT, without any intelligent thought of what they were voting IN. I see a repeat around me at the moment of people now being emotionally fired up against the Gillard Government, full of anger and hate, yet they make no mention whatsoever of the policies the Abbott Government will bring in. I believe we will see an exact repeat performance in September, of angry, emotionally fired up voters racing down to the polls, to vote a government out, once again, without any knowledge of what they will be voting into office. Once again, the voters will not comprehend what they have done and when Abbott's policies start hurting, the punters will scream and bellow and rant. I don't see Australia's political future as very sound as people become less and less informed of the issues at stake and allow themselves to swallow the "kool-aid" as the Americans say.

Another pointless session with the deputy Mayor on talkback with most of the time taken up by Pearl, Raj and Tenny. Obviously no one else can be bothered to ring up anymore or they are dissidents who are not allowed on. Terry James compared cyclists to crocodiles today. Crocodiles apparently don't mix with people and cyclists don't mix with cars. Both of them will have to go. He is also advocating registration fees for cyclists and no new CEP. It seems that patching up the Civic Centre is the only option on the table. Most of the rest of the callers rang up to whinge about cyclists. Just as well crocs don't ride bikes...meanwhile the member for Cairns is keeping an all time low profile.

Outdated, bitter and twisted, they will leave no legacy to our community and in ther passing will be quickly forgotten by mainstream society in our region. Enough said.

Frankly I wouldn't under estimate the political success of BLAMING. I concur with what ruby wrote above. People are generally more atuned to blaming and scapegoating and view that as the answer to everything rather than seeking solutions or alternate proposals. King on radio this morning talking up the atrocious budget said that the silver lining in the budget is that we get a few extra thousand dollars for the Chinese New Year.

And he is paid to do this job?

That's all he could secure for this budget?

The budget softener seems to be the $3M PET scanner which I think was part of the hospital development anyway. It appears to have been brought forward and will be temporarily housed in the electro magnetic radio screened area of the Liz Plumber Centre before being relocated to the new building.

Good news that we are getting it sooner - but bad news that this seems to be the jewel in the crown for this budget - but is really only moving something form forward estimates to this year.

ruby said...

wan king has done the most damage to this city ever. Latest news on the grapevine is whats happening at the Cairns Base. Admissions Centre has been closed down, and it looks pretty certain that all pharmaceutical business for the hospitals in the region will be outsourced to private tender. So if we get Xing Xang Company from Beiijing as the successful tenderer with the cheapest rates, we can all get our doses of ground up dog shit mixed with amoebic infested water and piss, bandages mixed with formeldehyde and asbestos, pain pills laced with arsenic and rat shit. The only "recalls" we will see from faulty pharmaceutical products will be dozens of funerals.

Second Anonymous said...

Hey Ruby

Xing Xang Company could also handle the Cairns Base catering contract as well as the supply of nurses, doctors, pathologists, radiographers, physiotherapists and undertakers.

ruby said...

Oh shit yeah, Second Anonymous. Think how cheap that would be hey? Xing Xang could do a special deal with Monsanto for the hospital catering, ordering all their products which have been rejected by other countries as a cheap as chips deal. Springborg would be overjoyed. Xing Xang could negotiate with all our Australian medical staff and offer them lucrative incentives to go to China, while sending us their dodgy medicos in exchange for lower salaries. Springborg would love that. He would trumpet it to the world as "strengthening our ties with China". Then he will outsource all pathology so that our Xrays will be contracted out to a company in India which will sub-contract it, to a sub-contractor who will then again re-sub-contract it, so that in the end our Xrays will be read by a one eyed cleaning lady with basic literacy, for a sum of 15c, while the "provider" receives $2,000. Yeah, that's how it works today. And no you won't be able to get any "out of court" settlement if that one-eyed cleaning lady makes a mistake, and you're going to die, either.

He loves being an architect of polarisation and division and craves the power of public attention. He won't leave Cairns that's my bet. Or are you such a dumb fool, you thought it was all about wages?

The woman survived, only by flying home to Australia as soon as she could, getting checked out by Australian doctors and undergoing a massive dose of antibiotics.

Well ruby, you wag, you gave me the best laugh Ive had in days. One of the dubious benefits of Xing Xang taking over our hospital services would be of course a sharp increase in mortality which would stimulate the local economy. Think of all the florists which would see their businesses booming, the undertakers putting on extra staff, the crematorium firing all day every day, the making of tombstones and funerary objects and lastly the increased workload of solicitors and staff in Wills etc. Springborg and Newman might just reckon it would provide the right economic stimulus for Queensland.
