AMBOS SHOW SHOCKING DISRESPECT FOR DISABLED PUBLIC THEY SERVE

One has to ask Queensland Ambulance why their employees believe that parking their vehicle IN A MARKED HANDICAPPED SPACE is OK.

On a busy holiday with other handicapped spaces fully occupied with placarded cars.

WHILE THEY GET A COFFEE AND A PIE?

They often park in illegal areas on the Esplanade for the same reason.

We would love to get a response from Queensland Ambulance.  Complaints to them go unresponded.

Is it possible they were collecting a disabled person? I would suggest better to know the full circumstances before making assertions of this nature.

Yes, I see your point. It would make more sense for them to park a block away on their brief break so we could see how fast they could run when an emergency call comes through say, for a heart attack victim. What fun.

Look at number on side of the car - isnot a local ambo car.

Find someone else to moan about please
These guys see stuff the rest of us can't imagine. Leave them alone

You're right on ths one HBW. I don't have a problem with them parking in loading zone, but you'd think people supposedly dedicated to the infirm would stay out of their parking spots.

C'mon Hillbilly, Wednesday's CRC meeting should be occupying your blog space before resorting to this sort of trivia

Do the ambos need more shit than what they are getting from their LNP bosses? Like another commenter said you would be grateful they were close to their vehicle if you found yourself turned into road pizza or your heart suddenly decided to fibrillate.
On a more serious note, Gavin King was made to look a fool when the finance minister said money? What money ? Over yet another ineffective effort from King to get money for the CBD upgrade. A limp member indeed.

It isn't a local vehicle & the Cairns paramedics are an awesome group. They respect our disabled & their community. Leave them alone

Why do nurses, ambos and others in allied health eat crap takeaway food? Surely on a daily basis they get to see what junk food and other excesses, like smoking, does to people?

A bit below the belt HBW -I agree with anon 18.13 -they are awesome people and I speak from personal experience after being ambulanced to Emergency in the middle of the night.Get back to filling the HUGE gap in the local media please, it's what you do best HBW!

Annon 15/6 22:47, where's the junk food? The paramedic has a coffee cup in his hand.

Who is saying they eat CRAP takeaway food (Anon 15/6 22.47)? I should think nurses and paramedics make their food choices just as anyone else does. " Do you want fries with that?" allows for two responses.

I think the thing about fast food is that it is fast. Ambos often have to leave meals half eaten and race to a job. They don't have the luxury of sitting down and ordering a nice healthy meal. Bring your lunch from home I hear you say?
It is a nice thought but the amount of meals they get to eat at the ambulance station are few and far between. Usually it's a matter of grab it and run .....to save the next life.

again hbw is off the mark a bit of that lately the ambos can park where they like except at general aviation turning circle bad karma to complain

WOW, he looks like he does not need meat pies.....diet much dude??!

He is not a emergency paramedic. He is one of the managers and has no excuse. Sorry everyone. I am embarrassed to know who this is. ( On road paramedic )

Yes agree it is poor form and I'm sure ambos etc always try to use a loading zone, etc...and always treat and help the disabled wherever possible....but I guess it can be tough- do you want them parking 100m and delaying their response to get to your heart attack? I think not....and I'm sure this rarely occurs and sure this chap won't do it again! Go pick on someone else

That emergency paramedic is an intensive care paramedic, which means he is more than likely going to out-rank you clinically. Suggest you stop making assumptions that makes you look like a moron.
