MAY, 1992

Leaders were gathered, some elderly and frail having been with Mao Zedong on his Long March and subsequent purges, enjoying the spoils of communist leadership.  Some were younger technocrats like the newly appointed Vice Premier Zhu Rongji, a graduate of prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing.

Supreme leader Deng Xiaoping had, to the surprise of many, reasserted his influence and quest for growth of the Chinese economy in his Great Southern Tour early in 1992 - during which he repeated his new catchphrase "致富光荣" - "To Get Rich is Glorious".  Growth had stagnated after the horror of Tiananmen Square in 1989.  Political backstabbing was rife across the country.  And the people were disillusioned with more public chaos predicted.  Deng's Great Southern Tour reignited the economic game, but many including Deng and his new ally Zhu realised something was wrong.

They knew that as growth began its inevitable climb, China had not the resources nor the space to accommodate this growth.  Many economists feared food production would decline as farmlands were taken up for inevitable development.  Some feared even the "One Child Policy" would be abandoned with the government having no means to enforce it.  China was looking like a big skyrocket that would rise dramatically and then explode as resources disappeared.

Hence the 25 Year Plan, and their meeting at Zhongnanhai this late spring day in 1992.

We have become aware of this secret plan, and the plan's code.

The target of the 25 Year Plan - Australia.

And while actively working the project bit-by-bit with Australian governments left and right since Hawke, the election of LNP governments at both State and Federal levels now has given the Chinese the push forward to consolidate one of the biggest turnarounds in world history - from a country occupied and pillaged by colonial powers to themselves being the occupiers.  Not at the point of a bayonet, but by giving us our own money back!

Let the pillaging begin!

Fucking Chinese ingenuity at its pinnacle!

Behold, the land the Chinese call
"Yuan Nan Tian" -

This area targeted at this 1992 meeting runs from just east of Wyndham, WA and takes in the bulk of the Northern Territory and North Queensland.  But Chinese companies have been encouraged for years to purchase big tracts of farmland, not just in Australia but around the world.  It was Australia however that was seen as the most attractive - a compliant group of political lightweights, poor infrastructure investment rates by the Australians, and huge tracts of empty "worthless (in Australia's eyes) land".

So in the last few years we've seen huge projects go to the Chinese - Ord 2 in the Kimberly, and the Cubbie Station (along with water rights) in Queensland.

Seen thru the eyes of Yuan Nan Tian, "mixed messages" from the government in fact prove that politicians are toeing the Chinese line.

A few weeks ago, Joe Hockey rejected the $3.4B sale of Australian GrainCorp to American food conglomerate ADM (Archer Daniels Midland) - a deal that would have opened new markets to Australian farmers.  China was said to oppose this deal strongly - after all, why buy up Australian food production land and then have it controlled by the Americans?  And yet just yesterday Hockey approved sale of the even larger $5Billion in Australian electricity transmission companies to State Grid Corp of China.  The continual "churning" of transmission assets is one of the main causes in skyrocketing electricity prices for Queenslanders - but the LNP clearly will sell anything not bolted down - if it's OK with the Chinese.

The cooperation in our colonisation began with Bob Hawke who bragged of his close relationship with Deng Xioping - and Hawke continues to this day brokering farm land sales to Chinese companies.  But not to be outdone, Tony Abbott has confirmed the LNP is on board for the colonisation as well, saying he supports "Don't Just Buy the Farm, Build It"!

Cairns is a central focus in the colonising of Yuan Nan Tian, as we have been seeing the past few weeks.

The media has been emasculated.  Look at yesterday's front page in the Cairns Post, a story about the "very private" Tony Fung.  While repeatedly referred to as "Billionaire" Tony Fung, financial reporting from Forbes indicates that the Fungs are no where near "Billionaire" status.  Only in the Murdoch press is Fung a billionaire - a neat PR trick, to be sure.  The Cairns Post quoted Hong Kong sources - the same sources that announced on August 2 that the Fung project had been approved!  The facts about Tony Fung are simple - he's a Mainland Chinese-aligned banker and partner, having been a delegate to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) People's Consultative Congress on at least three occasions, one prior to the handover of Hong Kong to China by the Queen.  Aquis will be built with Mainland Chinese money - full stop.

And even the son Justin plays along in the charade - he's said to like "fishing and basketball".  And being called "mate".  Wanker.

This isn't about a $4Billion casino and resort anyway.  Aquis is just one part of the master plan.  The British ensured the Chinese were stupefied with opium, the Chinese have lured us with low-wage jobs and lots of beer and gambling, which they know we love.

James Cook University suggests a plan to have 1,000 students at a campus in the Cairns CBD, as does Central Queensland University. Guess who the targeted students will be?

A compliant Newman government is going to uphold the fishing bans along the Marlin Coast - effective only on domestic fishers.  These large tracts of ocean, already being fished by the Chinese, will become more spoils in the colonisation of Australia.

Even Minister for Bloggers Warren Entsch has gotten in on the game.  As chair of the Northern Australia White Paper, Entsch has boasted "Everything is on the Table" while photographed with his drawers down below his knees.  He's also been overheard telling some privately that the port dredging is "a lock" as "the Chinese want to use the port".  If you're going to colonise you've got to have a few warships and subs in port.

Besides, with the huge expansion of the Palm Cove jetty, agreements are being mooted to have most cruise liners park offshore Palm Cove and tender into a new, revitalised and Chinese-owned Double Island and the new jetty.

As more and more Chinese investment floods into Yuan Nan Tian in support of their defacto colony, can the rest of Australia resist the allure of selling out?

The Zhongnanhai 25 year plan to ensure Chinese food security is being realised right on time.

What's the Chinese for "lebensraum"?

A handful of people sitting on a huge landmass while people are stuffed cheek-to-jowl in China and other asian countries make this inevitable.

An interesting post Hillbilly. Such 'forward planning' as this has been going in the world for eons, usually with armies who would enslave or put the original inhabitants to the sword. Ironically, that's how we got to be here ourselves just a couple of hundred years ago.
Deng Xiaoping's 25 Year Plan shows remarkable forward planning from a leader who could not personally benefit from it (apart from a place in history). How many Australian leaders can you think of who forward plan beyond the next election? I can't think of one. The economic invasion and takeover of Australia will be a cinch, they've already got their people in high places.

Hillbilly that weed you smoke is making you paranoid.

The Japanese went through all this just after the international airport was built. Funny money, vast investments in QLD then places like Cairns lost their character and the Japanese moved on. It will be repeated with the chinese. In 20 years we will be debating the eyesore the Indians are about to build in the swamps at the back of Holloways Beach.

Anonymous said...

Just heard thru the grapevine that the Aquis people have purchased 40 residential blocks at Smithfield.
Can anyone confirm??

The weed running our country makes me paranoid.

At least when the Indians are building in the swamps at the back of Holloways (anon 11:48), they will build a good railway line connecting it to …. well, Yorkeys Knob I guess. Cairns City will have by then withered and died.

With the LNP POLITCIANS ready for bribing.

Remember Aquis is not a resort. It is a MINI-CITY, as described by Fung himself. Think about that.

What xenophobic nonsense.

The CHinese are just buying under-utilised and under-capitalised farmland and trying to make money out of upgrading it.

What % of that area do the Chinese currently own? Less than 5%? Hardly taking over the place and they're still subject to Australian laws.

I don't understand why all the scare-mongering.

How about the Qld govt just gets a few million Surety from Fung to tear down AQUIS when it goes under?

Cairns Post today : TABLELAND potato farmers will be forced to diversify into other crops to make ends meet after being squeezed out of the market by a Chinese group farming too much product.

An Atherton potato industry chief claims thousands of tonnes of local potatoes will be destroyed rather than sold this year after the market was inundated by product from NSW and Victorian.

Now those who remain face the reality of producing a lot less useable tonnage and getting less than half the price they had come to expect for their product, he said.

Mr Nix said the problem began at the start of this year when a Chinese investment group bought out the Moraitis Group, which supply supermarkets with produce from Australia's biggest potato growing district, Hillston in NSW, and another, Thorpdale, in Victoria.

Good God, farming too much product? What will we do? That has never happened before!
Come on people....seriously? Xenophobia at it's best.....

Off the subject. The general manager of Holden Australia recently said that the unions and their award wages had nothing to do with the collapse of the Australian icon as it was the buying public who just weren't buying Holden or Ford anymore. My question is to those that blame unions for everything while they ignore reality. If every business that sold goods and services in Australia agreed to slash the sale price by 50% on everything on a given day I am sure everyone who earns a wage would take a massive pay cut as a response on the same day. The federal Government isn't helping by buy BMW's tho are they.the end.

I've attempted since about October to post adversarial dialogue comments at http://www.palmcovejetty.com but Tony Richards (the sites nominal owner) must have gone overseas without a laptop as I have received replies stating he will return in January for several month. Why being OS makes it impossible to monitor or take comments on your open for public comment site i do not know. Makes me wonder where he is Hong Kong perhaps? :-)
regarding issues with China taking over the planets farmlands it is not just Australia they have their eyes on they have just concluded a huge deal with the Ukraine which local sources have told me has made their already hugely unpopular president even more unpopular on the streets in Ukraine. http://www.rferl.org/content/ukraine-china-leases-farmland/25114812.html

Anon at 22.22. It never seems to amaze me how one can target a particular type of person on this blog. Cast the bait and sit back and watch as they are reeled in kicking and fighting. It must be frustrating to some that the current government has screwed it up so badly and failed to deliver even one pre election promise the gullible voting public were conned into. I haven't met one person who will admit voting for can'tdo or the current mob in Canberra.

Compliments of the season to all!
Thank you HBW for an interesting year. A year filled with sorrow and frustrations and you were always there to shed a light on the dirty deeds undertaken by our local reps both State Fed (and not to forget our ever giving Council).
Thank you Ruby for your interesting take on happenings and with your useful insight into the past history of this area.
Thank you Tony Hillier for having the courage to use your name in all your insightful comments.
Thank you Alison for the same reason. Your courage is admired also because, as a woman, you copped flack from all those delightful males that had pleasure in bringing down Val, probably the most progressive Mayor we have seen.
Thank you all the Bobs of this blog -your comments were always to the point and helped to keep us both informed and entertained.
Thanks to all the Anons of the blog I too share your unwillingness to share my name with the Hillbillies of this town!
and thanks again for all the research done on our behalf HBW! We would remain totally ignorant of the nefarious deeds of our local LNP reps if we did not have this blog -Rupert must never be allowed to rule our world.
and lastly may I sincerely wish that our Sleepy Mayor be blessed with THOUSANDS of disoriented bats in his yard.
Love to you all.

You forgot CHINA is the most polluted country on this planet and they are killing themselves slowly so we can buy cheap shit. I don't think the US cares. I'd rather be living here.

To Anon 25/12/13 09:22: Like.

To Anon 26/12/13 06:40. Not so scary, just fellow travellers on the blue planet who work hard. They are after all about 1/5th of the Worlds population at 1344 million (excluding Taiwan, Honkers and Macau), the largest of any country in the world. But their birthrate is only 0.47, therefore an ageing population is also going to be a big issue for them too.
