MP MICHAEL TROUT - ANOTHER IN A FAMILY OF LAWBREAKERS

MP Michael Trout, Member for Barron River, comes from a family where his two siblings have been before the courts time and time again.  One drug dealer is now jailed for years, hopefully.

So it's little surprise that Michael can't seem to do the legal thing, either.

This is Michael Trout's Parliamentary car.  It was parked for hours illegally on Thongon Street in Kuranda, blocking the visibility of the adjacent child's crosswalk.  An illegal brothel is said to be nearby as well.

Not even a full term under his belt and he already sees himself as "above the law".  It's understood that Trout and Member of MacKenzie Gavin "Don't Rape Me" King barely speak anymore as both look to be cracking under the pressure from their angry constituents.

I think Trout believes he was TO THE MANOR BORN. He believes he has more rights than others. Hes probably in some pub getting pissed as a parrot celebrating the LNPs axing of Medicare, booting the pensioners up the arse, abolishing retirement for working people and reducing the minimum wage. Just what the fucken Tories have always wanted. All of the advancements of a civilised society which had a fair go for all as its basis, all being wiped away by Tories such as Trout and Abbott whose political ideology believes in privilleges for the wealthy and little for everyone else. Christ or mighty its back to the 1920s were going. Bastards!

Abbott's "Audit" has done just that Bob R. I couldn't agree more. By the worst deceit imagineable, telling Australians that we cannot afford to look after our old people and the sick, the Tories have succeeded in turning us back in time to when ordinary people struggled to live. Trout is like King and Kempton and Entsch. They believe they are special and privileged.

I had a very interesting conversation a few weeks back with someone who worked as a mechanic/handyman for Blazing Saddles when it was on the Tablelands farm.

For some reason he thought I was a supporter of Trout, and I didn't say anything contrary.

He then started telling me how Trout found out about Aquis, long before it was made public, including that the developers would be looking for land for staff.

He remarked that there was a lot of money to be earned, and then, very soon after, announced they were moving to Yorkeys.

If you want an idea of how short term the move is, have a look on Tripadvisor, and see the couldn't care less attitude with regards to the business.

It sounds like a typical tourist rip-off...just what Cairns does not need.

This is 'personalised number plates' writ large. Better if the Member for Exterminating Crocodiles had something more discreet. He certainly doesn't need any publicity.

The LNP all knew about the proposal for AQUIS long before the rest of the community did. Martin Tenni the former National Party member for Barron River told us all on Mackenzie's crap show that he had been negotiating with Fung, the sale of the Pappalardo farm. Tenni would have informed the local LNP people of what he was doing. Its my belief that this was the main reason behind the campaign to oust Val Schier as Mayor and to can the proposed Entertainment Precinct.
Devious, conniving politics at its worst.

Shame you cant have an inquiry into the timing of the land purchase because they "own" the CMC now so they can be corrupt as anything and get away with it. I think very reasonable that the public can ask this question yet without proof it is rumour mongering, but without a transparent government there is no trust so they bring mistrust on themselves.

I would also like to confirm rumours that public housing has been sold off in one MPs neighborhood to increase his property value, while moving the problem to another electorate to decrease theirs.

But nothing we can do as they are not accountable to people anymore in their eyes and why they must be sacked as MP. They take obscene pay rises so profit is a strong motivation for them.

By the time this LNP government is given the arse, many of them will be extremely well off, thanks to the gulibility of the Queensland voter. I see where Abbott is going to lower the minimum wage so that we end up with a working poor population just like the USA. Women will be the worst affected by this so we will probably see a boom in sexual exploitation of poor working class women, ending up in the porno industry like they have in the USA. The boys in the LNP will love all that. They believe its their natural right to rule and exploit women.

The CMC has had its independence completely destroyed, so you are correct Anonymous 09.45, the LNP can do whatever they want without scrutiny. I see where Newman has already amassed $24 million for the LNP State election campaign. Wonder where this money came from, and if it has strings attached? We will never know. Good on you Queenslanders for voting in the biggest bunch of scoundrels since Joh and big Russ Hinze. What the betting the LNP all end up millionaires like old Joh and Big Russ before they retire?

Have just driven back to Cairns today from down south and noticed dozens of motorcyclists -serious ones on big bikes! -heading south with bikes laden with camping gear. Is there something happening in Brisbane? Just think -25,000 people protested last weekend in Brissie and not a word about this on the Murdoch papers/TV -at least none that I saw. What is going on?

Money buys votes Seth. Much as I don't want to see a return of the Newman Government in Queensland, I doubt there will be a change of government. The LNP have the mainstream media fully controlled and they have the coffers already full to brimming for the next election.

That's an astute observation there ruby. The porn industry in the USA has increased since the introduction of the internet and the desperation of the working poor. Women are the worst affected by lower wages. It is one of the most appalling social consequences of neo-liberalism in that the poor become victims of exploitation. Women are easy targets for sexual exploitation. After Abbott and Hockey start educing the minimum wage here, women will find it increasingly harder to survive.

Anonymous 18:32: that's probably people returning from the Harley Davidson rally in Cairns. There were 1300 + bikes here in the weekend. I'm surprised King has not tried to hijack the event and claim credit for it.

He's probably too busy plastering pictures of himself at sporting events all over his FB and telling lies about "Strong Choices".

Several people raised the issue on 4 CA, saying it was a con job and demanding an explanation.

McKenzie "confronted" King about it when he conveniently called in several hours later. He dismissed any concerns and said that the response had been a resounding success and that anyone with concerns should contact their local MP.

Mckenzie then swiftly changed the subject and allowed King to brag about his achievements instead of answering the questions about the fraud that is "Strong Choices".

Little coverage was given to the Labor Day march. The bikers got almost all of the media coverage here in Cairns. This is the Murdoch media machine pushing the interest of corporatism and neo-liberalism. It suits neo-liberalism to crush unionism. Abbott is already following neo-liberal economic policies by looking to abandon the minimum wage concept, so he wont want any publicity for the unions. Liz and ruby you are both right. The porn industry in the USA has exploded in the past decade or so with so many desperate women trying to support themselves. Women are more highly concentrated in entry level jobs with minimum wages so will experience the crunch of diminishing wages the hardest. Women have also suffered the most in the job losses caused by Newman and Abbott's neo-liberalism. Good to see some intelligent women therefore aware of the reality.

It seems everything we hold most dear is being sold off or smashed to pieces. We're being asked to pay more for postal services if we want our mail delivered, more to see a doctor because the LNP are abolishing Medicare and being asked to take less wages and to work longer. They want us to pay more and more for less and less money.

Seth at Port said...

The best MP up here? You reckon Trout is? Trout who apparently didn't now, or that is what he reckoned, about the boot camp being placed in a residential area in Kuranda? Trout, who won't hold a public meeting to discuss AQUIS with all his constituents in Yorkeys Knob and surrounding beaches. Trout, who openly mocks and jeers at the CONCERNS of residents over the AQUIS development. Trout, who also lines up on old Nanna Mackenzies show to provide regular doses of self promoting palaver and bullshit all free political advertising. Trout, who along with all the other LNP soft cocks won't attend public meetings where - heavens above - he might receive some heckling and verbal abuse from people who don't love him. Trout is like the other LNP members here, a soft cocked gutless wimp who sits on old woman Mackenzie's lap getting patted on his head.

You're all so mean and cruel to me. But it's good to see you chuck a few arrows at Trouty for a change. Awesome. I mean he bloody well cut in on me when I was on Macca's show the other day, the rude bastard. Then he insisted on monopolising Macca, the arrogant prick. I mean, manners, manners. Where are they, I asked myself? Really. Yeah I reckon he's getting cold feet there because of whats happened to his brother. I mean, everyone but everyone I talk to knows all about it. Anyways Id like to see him try and cut me off on Macca's show again. Toodles, everyone.

Liz, Alison your fears of female exploitation under neo-liberalism are well grounded. The USA has seen the abandonment of E.E.O. along with the abolition of the minimum wage. Women more than men are exploited as a source of cheap labour and sexual exploitation and sexual harassment are back in the workforce as desperate women are too fearful of losing their jobs if they retaliate. A grim and frightening world is about to open up for Australian women who have taken all the gains made by feminists since the 1960s for granted. I don't like your chances with the Abbott Government particularly with a man like Abbott as the Minister for Women and women such as the LNPs Michaela Cash who openly condemns feminism in Parliament.

So Cairns' answer to the Sopranos rub their hands together as Aquis gears up another level thanks to Campbell Newman. Big papa Michael would already be counting the profits from his Blazing Saddles land sale to the Fungs. It could almost buy another election success for him, despite the family's legal history.

If it wasn't for Trouts ex-wife Blazing Saddles would not have got off the ground. Someone should ask him just exactly what did his wife receive after their divorce. Here is your answer NOTHING.
