And when he DOES show up, he's not shown the aplomb that one would expect from a councillor. Frankly, Brain's military experience and skills would have been tapped by a smarter mayor. Brain's departure is a symptom of the operational illness inside the Manning council
And confirmation of the sick and unbusinesslike culture of Council operations could be seen in Brain's December statement. "Viciousness of local government" was the cause cited by Brain for his perfunctory end to an unfortunate few years.
|BRETT MOLLER - NOW RELEGATED TO|
WAITING TABLES. CHALLENGING.
The proposed Manning candidate Brett Moller isn't it.
Even his own law firm has had enough of Moller, with legal insiders all confirming that Moller was given a booting. His big mouth has proven to be an embarrassment.
And local residents and neighbours of Moller are now starting to come forward with their own stories of bullying and boorish behaviour.
Moller's primary job as the anointed LNP lapdog chair of Cairns Ports has only one task - to play "hide the dredging report" from the electorate in the cynical attempt to get King and Trout reelected. The report was finished long before the election and the outcome was the same as it eventually was with the ALP - no one is going to pay $300M to dredge our inlet for a few more cruise ships. Moller showed disrespect for the Cairns community by hiding this negative report on the dredging.
After Moller was dumped from his Cairns Ports job, so too now we find has his law firm followed suit.
So why does Moller want to represent the ratepayers of Division 1? It's clear he's only interested in the quick $100K a year as he trolls his LNP connections for another job.
Does Divison 1, neglected for so long, deserve another part-time councillor?
We welcome a discussion of the two Independent candidates for Division 1, Sandra Charlton and Harry Tenni. Because frankly we don't need another stiff in Division 1 for the next four years.
