MACKENZIE BIG STORY? WHY AREN'T WE SHOOTING THE CROCS? WORLD NEWS BIG STORY? ANOTHER YEAR OF MASSIVE CORAL BLEACHING ON GREAT BARRIER REEF!!

There's no accounting for stupid.

Lee DePaauw, a secondary school dropout in Innisfail, loaded up on grog, jumped into a river KNOWN to be inhabited by crocs. All in a desperate attempt to get his joint copped.

The young lady being wooed by this dickhead is still "standing by her man".  Two morons for the price of one.

We've now got John "Cueball" MacKenzie raising his level of screeching on the croc issue, ignoring completely that his own LNP mates could not be moved on this issue THEIR last time around.

MacKenzie continues to warble that "a croc death will spell the end of tourism in FNQ".  Absurd.

The issue that WILL spell the end of Cairns as a tourism destination continues to be the butt of ignorance and scorn whipped up by Cueball.

For a second year in a row, massive coral bleaching has been seen on wide areas of the reef, including  ALL the areas visited by tourists to Cairns.

All of this is being reported extensively in the world news media.  But we're busy being fed a daily diet of croc stupidity and reconfiguration of a CBD street.  The reconfiguration of Grafton Street as done to MacLeod Street by Mayor Val Schier is a personal issue with John MacKenzie.  He bullied Bob "Sleepy" Manning when he first took office trying to get MacLeod returned to its previous unsafe configuration.  Now he's attacking Manning on Grafton Street.

All as we sit by watching the reef, and our tourism industry, die.

John MacKenzie is a cancer on the Cairns community.  His holiday exploits in child-abuse countries are well-known.  He continues to attack the police, the ALP, and others who he is not allied while cretins like the Member for Bloggers Warren Entsch and crime family leader Michael Trout continue unchecked.

It's time for a housecleaning.

Cueball should take his Seniors Card and walk off into the sunset.

Fuck yes, a major house cleaning! Cueball needs to be bleached out of existence, although I am sure he already indulges in anal bleaching activities. Cairns is fucked because we have piss-poor Council contribution to the region. The same goes for our so-called federal and state representatives. And guess what? The fucking crocs, jellyfish, Taipans and crazy ants were here long before we were - so Cueball STF up!

As for the fucktard jumping in the water and getting bitten - so be it. He deserves it, it wasn't his backyard he was fooling around in, it belongs to the Crocs. I also hear that his 'love interest' is distancing herself from him, so I guess it is back to the single life for the young dickhead with only one usable arm to accompany him on lonely nights! Morons.

He spent the whole morning whipping up frenzied rednecks about the "crisis on our doorsteps", rubbishing environmental incentives and the only comments came from the usual suspect, LNP pollies, George Mansford and some old geezers who 'don't believe in science". His idiotic campaign against the traffic changes in Grafton St. reached a crescendo last Friday, during the council hour, which is usually dominated by the same 3 or 4 crusty old bores, who are allowed to drone on endlessly about their pet hates and to rubbish anything to do with progressive politics. So we got Bob from Mt. Sheridan having a hysterical whinge first. Not sure why, Mt. Sheridan is nowhere near the CBD and I doubt old Bob ever sets foot in the CBD. Then we got William from Brinsmead almost blowing a fuse over the issue in a a belligerent, irrational rant that made no sense whatsoever. Finally we got George the Greek, who thinks he owns the CBD and the whole world revolves around his business interests in a demented screaming march. To his credit,Schilling pretty much shrugged off al the hysterical nonsense . Hope CRC stand their ground on this issue. Terry James had previously provided a very rational explanation why this is a good move, but Mckenzie only saw an opportunity to stir up some totally unnecessary controversy instead. Who's paying him for this nonsense ?I am pretty sick of that bald scumbag trying to sabotage every progressive development we have in this city. And his rigged "opinion polls" are as pathetic as they are disgraceful. His claim that "our forefathers" had had the foresight to design wide streets is utter crap. Streets were that wide, so bullock trains and horse and buggies could turn around. You want to have high density residential living in the CBD? Then you adjust the roads accordingly. You can't cram a liveable inner city full of cars and high speed traffic lanes.Even our right wing, LNP dominated council seems positively left wing in comparison to McKenzie and his ratbag supporters.

I heard Manning trying to back out of his commitment to the Grafton St traffic changes. His explanation was that when it goes to the public vote , "Fifty, fifty would not be enough to change, even sixty forty would not be enough as it shows people are not united".What a shame that this dithering old man is running the show,no vision and no guts.

the biggest JOKE of the decade, yesterday idiot macca talking to lnp member Whitsunday re crocs, he told the member he did not want this to be a political topic, then why did he call him onto his show.
idiot thinks the croc issue and the stupid port dredging issue is going to be the deciders at the next election, there is more that people are concerned about than these.

Cairns needs to get behind the push to stop the Adani coal mine, for the the sake of 75,000 jobs dependent on the health of the GBR.

The poor soul taken by the croc can't have been a local (25 years here is a local)because as any local will tell you that since year dot swimming in the ocean near land in the wet season is courting to be eaten. Rest in peace.

I believe Mackenzie's influence is waning.

There is no leadership on the reef problems, but then we have never had any real leadership on anything.

I wish Putin would send a KGB operative to Cairns with a vile of thallium and shut that bald headed shock (cock) jock up once and for all. Our city needs progressive leaders and supporters, not self opinionated bald headed numpty's like Cueball. The bloke is seriously a liability to our region, his radio show is complete shit and he looks like a bowling ball with a bad attitude.
Dear Cueball, please fuck off to Cow Bay with all the other FNQ weirdo's and false identity loonies looking to hide from the rest I the world.

The scumbag was claiming today that one of his sponsor's had lost 20 % of his business turnover after McLeod St. traffic changes.
I used the services of that particular sponsor once. The bloke is a nutcase. After making me wait for 15 minutes he embarked on some crazy rant about his mother. Maybe that's why he is losing business. Like most of the sponsors that support that crappy talkback show it is simply not a business where you would ever go back for seconds. But it sounds like the councillors who supported the Grafton St changes are already caving in to the various loudmouths who constantly stifle progress in this city. Apparently it won't go ahead now unless a majority of respondents to the survey is in favour. So are we going to run the council by referendum now ? Or will the loudest loudmouths just get their way ?

Well, if the cyclone threat becomes real to Cairns it may be a good thing. It might help flush away all that leaking fuel from under the international Tarmac once and for all? Ironic isn't it - Cueball bellowing about coral bleaching yet mentioning nothing about the AvGas that is probably polluting the reef as we speak. It's been found in the Baron. Yet nothing has been done to stop it. Perhaps Cueball has taken a shine to Cairns CEO Norris Sharter? The moron managers have been running around the airport in a tizz worrying about the cyclone. You should see them and hear them - the Irish clown all panicky (trying to look and act 20 when she looks like she is 70), the foul mouthed HR Muppet acting all important (trying to but nobody takes the wilderbeast seriously), the lazy chocolate Kiwi with his neck and chest bulging out like some kind of super hero (super lameo), and general confusion or disinterest from the rest of the 'team'. It's gotta be something about that airport, it has always been manned by the biggest bunch of incompetent fools ever! And those disgusting toilets and fly-ridden food halls are a disgrace.

With all the Greenies fired up into hysteria (once again **yawn**) now that they're no longer beating their chests and wringing their hands over the asylum seekers, AQUIS, same sex marriage, rights for goats blah blah blah, over the Adani coal mine, the wily, manipulative self-serving political grubs are crawling out of the ooze. It's the same ole same ole repeat of the AQUIS hysteria with the chant of "save the reef". The greenies got themselves all choked up with hysteria over that one, meanwhile on this site and others, we were watching the machinations of the Chinese Government wielding the big stick against money laundering through Chinese owned casinos. Perhaps it was a bit too intellectual for the greenies and their emotional ilk to look at international events and finance. It was predictable that Fung couldn't get the necessary finance. SO, it is with Adani. It just doesn't look to me as if he is going to get the massive finance required. He's had so many knock backs already from banks and financial institutions.

Hillbilly, your piece here is misleading. It uses the word 'INHABITED' to describe a natural environment where a crocodile is likely to be. The correct description should be 'ROUGE' (for one croc), and 'INFESTED' (for two or more crocs). This rule also applies to sharks.

I think 'INHABITED' is now used for the incidence of nits living in children's hair.

Observer is being very unfair to critics of Aquis. It may have been doomed by its own contradictions, but the issue needed a community group to lay out those contradictions and set them in stark relief and the Aquis Aware Coalition of Concerned Citizens did just that. The complacency suggested by Observer when dealing with Aquis or Adani does him and the community no favours.

Norris Carter, new CEO at Cairns airport, needs to be congratulated for his latest move to fix up the airport and also start bringing back business opportunities and professionalism to the region.
Thursday evening he walked 4 pieces of GM deadwood out the door;
GM HR - the politically incorrect complete embarrassment who has been skating on thin ice for some time. The cheering in the place is deafening. Mr Carter manoeuvred someone into a HR and Financial role a few months ago in preparation for the guillotine of both the CFO and HR Clown. Nice work Norris, respect Bro! She was too conceited and dopey to see she was being lined up. At least we don't have to listen to her foul mouth anymore, or watch her crying all the time. She will end up as bar waitress. Hooray!

GM Assets - a total little worm who has an ego bigger than his body. No loss, and other staff will carry that role for the interim. Life goes on and he won't be missed. He will end up back on the tools building dog kennels. No longer do we have to watch the tiny man puffing out his chest trying to look big. Hooray!

GM Commercial - another loud mouthed non-performing bullying bozo. Couldn't make a Commercial deal to save his life. Back to Sydney for you big boy. Again, an easy position to fill or leave vacant while other staff fill the gaps. He might go back to selling backlot dingy offices to half-arses shelf companies. Hooray!

Chief Financial Officer - weak little man. No spine and no testicles. Has had no impact on the business and not brave enough to make robust financial decisions. As stated before Mr Carter manoeuvred someone into a HR and Financial role a few months ago in preparation for the guillotine. Ha ha. Nice chess move.

Carter did a brilliant job from day one when he ensured that the GM Aeronautical would leave when he gave her a gentle nudge. He has a guy in Brisbane who is doing an excellent Commercial job in the meantime. Although a little birdy tells me that all positions will be changed and some good people from Norris Carters former workplace are packing their bags and coming to Cairns. Good stuff! Hopefully there will be a couple more placed out on the sidewalk overnight incl the GM Operations and some other corporate minions, imbeciles and incompetents. Your work is not done yet Norris!!!!

So what an interesting 12 months at Kevin Browns airport. Not much of his 'one team' left standing! Too funny. Doesn't say a lot about Brown does it? All of us knew how toxic the place was under his leadership, but it was allowed to fester unabated. And now the reaper collects his harvest.

Good riddance fools, you were lucky to stay as long as you did. But once your Kevin Brown protective veil was removed you became expaoed to the real world. Norris Carter is the best thing to happen to Cairns airport yet. And I wouldn't be surprised if he now cuts loose the loss making Mackay airport as well.

Oh my head is sore from all the celebratory drinks last night! The champagne flowed, for the GM's the tears flowed (one in particular) and for staff the cheers have flowed!
At least the GM HR can do all her Facebooking on her own time now instead of work time!

I wonder if Cr Coopers fiancé Rick Huriwai will now be promoted at Cairns Airport since the dismissal of the 4 General Managers last week? (affectionately known as the 'Fired Four'). After all, he does work within management. I'm sure his fiancé will be cheering for him to be promoted, even though he is a sneaky toad.

AQUIS and Adani are corruptions of capitalism, If you support capitalism then you would be against these projects Greed and irrational exuberance is why capitalism fails.

Like Cr Cooper, Mr Huriwai (stupid name) is a two-bit wannabe. You should see him at the airport getting pussy whipped by his boss Kate McCreepy, it's embarrassing. Talk about the odd couple.

Now that the HR manager is gone, who is looking after airport safety? Supposedly the HR manager was also the safety manager, which was a complete joke cos she wouldn't know safety from a Facebook app, a total dunce that chick was. It is in the aviation regulations that cairns airport must have a safety manger. Not that the airport has ever given a shit about that anyway

Anonymous said...

Wow. Not only has Norris Sharter punted 4 of his deadwood managers (a great start), he has put the kybosh on growing the regions airport (link below to the Compost);

http://www.cairnspost.com.au/news/cairns/1b-cairns-airport-redevelopment-plan-has-been-grounded/news-story/a6ca3a4fb40729173ce7358f6f56b0d5

Rumour has it that he is also going to cut Mackay airport loose because it is loosing heaps of dollars. So it might seem that the bottom dollar is more important than developing jobs and airport infrastructure. No shock!

C'mon HBW, where is the scoop mate?

Cairns airport has announced it is NOT applying for any of the $1b in funding on offer from the Government. Instead, CEO Norris Farter has said they will spend some time consolidating and working with what they currently have! What a load of bullshit. My source tells me the only reason they didn't apply for some of the free money on offer is because they were too lazy and slow to do so, and missed the boat so to speak! What a bunch of incompetents. Norris may have recently sacked four GM's but maybe it is he who needs to go, or perhaps some of his other incompetents, starting with the GM (I mean Chief) who likes Botox.
