Mackenzie would have been bellowing and bawling away every day for weeks on end, calling up his sycophants and getting them all to agree with him about the scandal and how evil Schier was and how awful women were holding public office. "Oh there is so much HATE out there," Mackenzie would say over and over. <br />There would have been an Editorial in The Cairns Post praising the efforts of Lowth for his contributions over the years and citing his achievements, followed by a sound condemnation of the Mayor. Not surprising. We have a massive shortage...Hamish. Not surprising. We have a massive shortage of highly skilled people in Australia and I mean HIGHLY skilled, so even in economic hot spots they have stupid people on a million a year. So what chance does Cairns have of securing any talent? People move here for lifestyle, not to be at the economic center of the universe, yet they cannot even get a fair go when asking for so little. Nobody asked to come here and be sent broke overnight but happens way too often. I watched My Kitchen Rule last night and the girl from WA was over confident, talked the talk but was a failure at the task. That is what we have an abundance of in Cairns. I really think we have to hire a mayor, State and Federal MP expert from out of town, with good references and proven track record.
